A guide to custom fields

You can create custom fields on customer cards, events, tasks, contracts, orders, people and time reports. The way you create the fields is the same regardless of which module you want to add the custom fields to,

Create custom fields

Tap [Settings], then Custom fields under the module you want them in.

  1. Tap + New custom field.

  2. A pop-up will appear where you enter a name for the custom field and select the type of field you want it to be. If you wish, you can also write a short description of the field.

  3. If you want this field to be required, check the box Is the field required?

  4. Click Save to create the custom field.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: If you create a custom field on e.g. events and check the Required checkbox, it means that the field in question must be filled in before the event can be created.

Changing a custom field

To change a custom field, click the Pencil button to the right of the field in question. The same pop-up window as when you created the field will appear. Here you can change the name of the field, the description and whether the field is required.

Press Save to save the changes.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Once a field is created, you cannot change the type of field. If you want to change the type of field, you need to create a new field.

Delete a custom field

To delete a custom field, press the Pencil button on the right side of the field in question. The same pop-up window as when you changed the field will appear. Tap the trash can to delete the field.
